On September 10th, 2016, we called on all of Jersey City to participate in Day in the Life JC, our city-wide photography project, by posting images on Instagram with #dayinthelifejc! From festivals on Monticello, to a rock concert at The Cathedral to intimate family moments and stunning landscapes, people shared their day with us as we drove all over the city covering events and eating delicious food.
From there, people submitted one of their photographs from that day. Six judges, one representing each ward, selected 10 images based on aesthetics as well as how well the photo represented the diverse and dynamic city that Jersey City is.
All in all, 48 images were selected, and will be on display at this year’s Jersey City Art and Studio Tour at the flagship location at 150 Pacific Avenue. On opening night, October 7th, we will be there with our Jersey City themed photo booth, with some fun new surprises! The exhibit will be on display from October 7th until October 9th.
The selected images will also be part of a #dayinthelifejc banner that will be displayed in front of City Hall in Jersey City on Grove Street (seen above).

Thanks to everyone who participated, all the photos were amazing! We hope to see you during studio tour!
Since January, 2016, we've been partnering with Jersey City Independent to bring you #dayinthelifejc once a month via their Instagram feed @JCIndependent. Each month, a member of our community takes the reins and share their #dayinthelifejc with us for a week as part of the JCI takeover.
